About 20 years ago I met an man who I was told was a successful producer. His name was Fred Singer. I wanted to know the secret to become such a success.

He told me that when I could meet with a potential client, write a treatment and subsequently a script, shoot the script as camerman, lighting it properly and capturing professional sound, and then edit it - ALONE, I might be OK!

So, I had a plan.

Then providence stepped in: I was assigned as the Supervisor (Executive Producer) of a state-of-the-art television production facility, and tasked with improving it. So we went from in-house training productions to broadcast TV!

Now I had a plan and the means to learn it all, from the bottom up.

We bought the first AVID non-linear editor, and I started into HDTV from the introduction of Sony's first HDW-700 HD camera, under the tutelage of a master DP, Champe Barton at Horizon Productions .

I started editing on the first version of AVID Media Composer. Then edited on the Media 100, did some work on Sony's first nonlinear system, and finally bought a Final Cut Pro system built by the best HD system integrator there is: Bart Harrison .

Please enjoy our demo reel. I personally was the Director, or Director of Photography, on every one of the clips you'll see.

The reel includes TV commercials, corporate marketing and sales projects, large venue multicamera shoots and music DVD's. I've shot this on everything including the SONY F-900, Varicam, XDCam and the Sony Z1-U.
